Christy is a technical writer & editor by professional career and a creative writer & poet by passion. In both realms, she blends her technical and artistic sides to craft accessible writing that helps and inspires others. Christy holds 8 years of professional writing experience at education tech companies, including Limble, Exponent, Google, Pluralsight, and The Institutes.

Most recently, Christy published a book of poems, Earthly Observations: A Year in Haiku, a short collection of haiku poems alongside a small number of longer poems reflecting on the seasonal transitions of a year. Buy Earthly Observations here.

Her poetry journey began when she wrote a 25-poem collection for her Bachelor’s thesis—the first person in the English department to pass without needing revisions. Since then, her poems have been published in Wild Roof Journal, The Closed Eye Open, and Thistle & Thread, among others.

Christy currently lives on the ocean side of San Francisco with her partner and cat. When Christy’s not writing or editing, you can likely find her on a walk, practicing restorative yoga, creating paper collage art, reading with a cup of peppermint tea, or traveling.

Christy is also certified in Reiki Level 1 (Susan Chiocchi, Colorado Reiki Academy, April 2025) and Level 2 (Christopher Tellez, SF Reiki Center, July 2026). She currently practices both in-person and remote Reiki energy healing on friends and family.
